It’s another cow stuck in a claw machine

Well, this hasn’t happened for a long time now, but I finally ran into another cow stuck in a claw machine this morning while shopping at the grocery store with my son. It looked so cute (and a little weird too), I can’t believe nobody has tried to rescue it yet. Wait, I know why. Have you ever tried to grab a stuffed toy out of the claw machine? Yep, I wouldn’t waste my dollar either.

Now this reminds me of a very funny scene in the original Toy Story movie, when Buzz Lightyear and Woody end up getting trapped in a claw machine. I LOVE Buzz’s first question to the aliens: “Who’s in charge here?” Their answer? “The claaaaawwww…” Enjoy!

Since we’re now proud members of the San Diego Natural Museum, we spent the morning there and then took my mom out for some yummy Chinese lunch. I don’t know what it is with Chinese buffet restaurants, but they like to feature claw machines. From personal experience, I want to guess at least 50% of claw machines keep cows prisoners, and this one was no exception:

Look how cute this one is with its “hearty” cheeks and red hooves. Will someone please rescue it before Valentine’s day? It’s at Sunrise Buffet in San Diego, California.

I found the ultimate cow-starring claw machine!

I took advantage of my husband being out of town for a few days to take the kids out to lunch to a local Chinese buffet my husband isn’t too fond of. The food was good and we all pigged out and took a good nap. That’s the best thing you get to do when it rains and pours the WHOLE day in San Diego. Gosh I hope this rain stops by tomorrow morning because I can’t spend another day in the house with two active boys and their wild imagination and endless energy!

Last time we visited this Chinese restaurant, they had a claw machine with animal balloons inside, including a few cows and pigs. Today, I found the ultimate claw machine, starring my friend the cow!

This claw machine contains a whole bunch of stuffed farm animals (pigs!) and pets, but really, the cow steals the show!

Watch out for those cows, I think they may be out there to take over the world! Starting with claw machines…

The kids played so nicely together this morning, I took them out to lunch at a local Chinese buffet. We don’t go there very often but the food is pretty good and the kids love the game area they only can visit if they behave well during lunch.

After pigging out on shrimp low mein, orange chicken, and other Chinese specialties, we made a quick visit to the games. I always tell the kids I don’t have any money left and since they don’t bring their own, this is always a free activity. We just look like a bunch of looky-loos, or as I’d rather say smart people who know not to waste their money on crap.

The walls of the Chinese restaurant are covered with many, many authentic decorations, but not one of them includes a cow. My youngest thought he saw one in a painting, but it happens to be a white horse covered with black dalmatian-like spots.

However we found out the claw machine was full of cows. Well, at least cows is what the three of us agreed the blue balloons were supposed to be:

I love this cow, sitting next to its best friend Piggy! Here’s another cow, from a side angle:

Did you see the ckicken upside down? Lovely! Somebody was having way too much fun when they designed these animal balloons.

By the way, if you missed my previous cow sightings in claw machines, here’s a recap for you:

Cows like to hang out at the mall

A quick family expedition to the mall this Sunday morning helped me draw the conclusion that cows do like to hang out there.

Our first encounter was in the window of a store called “Torn Britches” (kind of a disturbing name, in my opinion…).

I love this cow’s large smile, and how little it seems to care about the poor Wonderland rabbit being late.

Our next cow encounter reminded me of a trip to our local grocery store several weeks ago. Apparently, cows are popular animals to rescue out of claw machines… This specific claw machine had quite a few cow specimens (way more than what’s on this picture!). Will someone please spend at least $20 and 30 minutes of their time to rescue each of them?

Our mall visit included a quick tour on the carousel. No, there are no cows on it (does this mean kids don’t like to sit on cows???) but at least one horse that looks like one!

Next time you go to the mall, see how many cows you can spot!
