Sandra Boynton is a fan of amazing cows in her new book!

During a visit to our local Barnes & Noble this morning, I spotted this new book that was just released in November 2010. We know Sandra Boynton for many of her children’s books, but I think she’s outdone herself with this one!

Right on the front cover, Sandra Boyton’s Amazing Cows promised stories, poems, jokes, hidden cows. A lot of the artwork is in comic book format, so I have to wonder… is this the first ever comic book on cows??? Wow, that would be something to celebrate!

Check out the book’s back cover, it’s worth taking a look!

Now, did you know that Bessie Holstein had released a 45rpm record, titled “It has to be moo”? Wow, where does Boynton gets the inspiration for that stuff? She must be living next to a whole bunch of Holstein dairy cows!

Finally, take a look at this cow, it reminds me a lot of the surfer cow in front of Mango Joe’s Cafe at SeaWorld San Diego. I’m guessing that’s where Sandra Boynton got her inspiration for this one page!

Thank you, Sandra Boynton,  for showing the world that cows can be amazing animals! You sure made my daily cow post activity a fun one today, and your book is now on my Amazon wish list!
