I had to make a quick run to Target this afternoon to grab a few items in the grocery aisles. On my way to the back of the store I caught a glimpse of a brand new display on an aisle cap. It was a really nice assortment of dishes, including plates, bowls, teapots, cups and … cow creamers!
They are part of Target’s new “Blue and White” home decor collection and I have to say, I was very tempted to buy one. But clumsy as I am, it probably wouldn’t last a week at my house, so I’ll pass.
Before heading home, I stopped by the library to pick up some new books. The librarian must have known I was coming because she put this book on the shelf for me:
I’m a big fan of children’s book author Jonathan Allen (I love his Baby Owl books: I’m not scared, I’m not cute, and the hilarious I’m not Santa) so I had to grab this one too. We didn’t get a chance to read it tonight but it’s only a matter of time until we find out what’s going on with this moooing little rabbit.

And those cow creamers are cute…which is weird for me to say since I have never been interested in collecting anything to do with cows but I would actually buy something like that!
Now they need some Teddy Bear dishes and I will be jumping for joy!
Ah, Teddy Bear dishes. I think you’ll find them in the baby dishware department! Seriously, they do have some there…
As for the mooing rabbit book, we actually read it tonight. Very cute story, where all the farm animals like to make other animal noises, but eventually admit they do like their own noises. Except for the rabbit – SPOILER ALERT – who likes saying woof! the best, since we know rabbits don’t make much noise… Cute story, cute illustrations.
Now I need a baby so I have excuses to buy more Teddy Bear stuff.
I just got married a little over a year and a half ago so no kids yet but I definitely want some one day and I am looking forward to buying more teddy bear things for their room!
Kids LOVE teddy bears. We probably have a dozen of them at our house and my kids always fight about which ones they can have for themselves. As for cows, you get to see a lot of them on TV before you have kids. After you have kids, you have less time for TV but get to see tons of cows in anything kid related. You’d have to close your eyes all day not to see a single cow!
