After blogging about my daily encounters with cows of every kind for the past three months, you’d think the effect of surprise would diminish as I see new cows every day. Still some days the cow sightings happen to baffle me, and today was one of those days.
To make our shopping trip at Target easier, we often stop by the toy department to grab a couple of toys to keep the kids’ hands busy. Their interest directed us to the car / truck aisle today (typical boys!) and that’s where we found this interesting vehicle:
Check out those big teeth and long horns, what’s not to love about that? Although I’ve already found a devilish bull skull and a longhorn logo on trucks before, I haven’t seen this bull theme on a real truck yet. And I think I’d be a little scared if I encountered the real thing while driving on the freeway…
I then took my youngest to Souplantation for lunch and my little helper was kind enough to hand me out some plates at the beginning of the salad bar. I’m not sure why he did so but he managed to flip over the empty plates as he placed them onto my tray, exposing me to an image I have NEVER noticed in the 10 years I’ve come almost weekly to this restaurant!
Yep, it’s a damn buffalo logo on the bottom of the plate! Apparently the plates were made by Buffalo China, which is now owned by Oneida. The company’s history is quite fuzzy on the internet so I couldn’t find much about them, but it sure was fun to come across this special cow!
You just never know where your next cow sighting may happen, so be ready for anything!
