There are many ways to round up cows. Some people do it the traditional way, while others like to use remote control cars. When you’re Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter, you first have to put on the whole cowboy uniform. My three year old had a book request for Little Critter’s Just Go to Bed after lunch today:
This is the kid version of the everdreaded time for kids to go to bed and how they always try to delay the ultimate ending of the day, even though this happens every single night. If you’re looking for the adult version, I highly recommend Go the F*&ck to Sleep by Adam Mansbach, as long as you keep it out of reach of little fingers and eyes:
But let’s get back to Little Critter. One of his afternoon play activities is to round up the cows and he’s well equipped for the job! Check out his cowboy outfit, including the hat, boots, revolver, and of course, the lasso.
Now, all Little Critter needs is… a cow. Are you ready for this? Here’s the wild beast!
Oh, I’m not sure Little Critter can do it. What do you think? Are we making it too easy on our children to avoid failure?
