It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas #2: Christmas tree cow ornaments

Today was an interesting fall Sunday in San Diego, with the not-so-unusual but still surprising rain showers throughout the day. Great for the water-starving ground, but not so much for us trying to spend some time outside without getting wet. We still managed to take the kids for a bike ride and some playground exercise this morning, and even enjoyed a few bright sun rays while out.

After lunch we decided to head to CostPlus World Market to find some good bargains. Well, the real bargain was that we had coupons. Great coupons, I should say. One for $10 of free stuff (who doesn’t want free stuff?), and one for $10 off $30. Combining both, we’d get $40 of merchandise for $20. I can’t say no to that.

Going to CostPlus is always an “interesting” experience with the boys, who have to look and touch everything in every aisle. The Christmas goodies were set up right in the middle of the store and that’s what the kids ran to first.

Check out the first Christmas tree cow ornament I found, right next to a pig, of course:

These Christmas ornaments looked like papier mache, and although it gave me the idea of making some with my kids, I don’t think I’d buy them.

But wait, that’s not all! Can you believe CostPlus had another pig and cow ornament on display?

Now, is this the most red-eyed devilish looking cow you’ve ever seen??? Is that what mad cow disease looks like? Why on earth would you want to put that on your Christmas tree? Thank you, CostPlus, but I think I’ll skip this one too!

  1. Those two in the second shot look quite scared, maybe from being hung by their front legs? ;)

  2. Yea…those second two are kind of creepy!
