Earlier this week I watched the movie The Descendants with George Clooney. If you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend spending the two hours to watch it. The movie deals with difficult issues, including coma, infidelity and parent-child relationships, without falling into the melodramatic trap. These are some tough subjects to feature, so the movie also uses a dash of humor here and there to relieve some pressure, feeling very realistic.
The Descendants movie takes place in Hawaii and its surrounding islands. Although most of the movie happens indoors, you get to catch a glimpse of the beauty of the islands. In one of the scenes, George Clooney’s character and his two daughters visit a large area of land his family has owned for generations.
Here they are in the jeep as they enter the property. Wow, that’s a lot of cows!
I had no idea there could be this much cattle in Hawaii, but I wonder why I should be surprised with all the lush greens available for grazing there.
And of course, I had no idea there would be cows in this movie about boating accidents and relationships, but it was a nice surprise!
